Ground Breaking at Camp Cardinal

“I am excited to share with you photos of the fun I had at the ground breaking for the 5 new cabins at Camp Cardinal, thanks to the Friends of Camp Cardinal. Susan Eaton has worked closely with me and Caryl for the past 2 years to make this happen. We are grateful to her and the FOCC for their persistence, determination and willingness to work TOGETHER for the betterment of the girls’ outdoor experiences.”

-Susan Hansell, CEO

Earth Day

The girls of Troop 1235, from Hebron, KY – Nicole Byrns, Emma Keller, Allyson Leas, Lea Mitchell, Brooke Moore – did their part to help with Earth Day.

Troop 1235 did a Recycling Earth Day at North Pointe Elementary on Saturday, April 21st. They collected computers, CRT’s and other electronic items, clothes and shoes, and other recyclable items such as aluminum cans, paper, and cardboard. The girls collect 7 large bags of clothing and shoes and 958 pounds in computer/electronic items.

The girls also decorated a pledge box and poster and went on the school news to encourage kids to take the pledge to save energy and to make a difference. They then held a raffle of kids who pledged to make a difference and 6 kids won a prize!
